Mr. Shivinder Mohan Singh
  Managing Director 

Shivinder is a young entrepreneur who aims to change the way Healthcare is delivered in the world. He is the Managing Director of Fortis Healthcare Limited. He is also one of the principal promoters and Director on the boards of Religare Enterprises Limited, Super Religare Laboratories Limited and Fortis Clinical Research Limited. Shivinder was, till recently, one of the key promoters of Ranbaxy Laboratories and served as Director on the Board of the pharma major. He played a strategic role in the sale of Ranbaxy, thereby taking the company to the next level and creating significant long term value for all stakeholders.

An alumnus of Doon School and an Honours Graduate in Mathematics from St. Stephens College, Delhi, Shivinder has done his MBA with specialization in health sector management from the Duke University Business School, USA.

Shivinder’s significant contribution in Indian Healthcare is widely acknowledged. His strategy for Fortis and its execution has been recognized by Harvard Business School in the form of a case study. Shivinder has been playing an important and active role in shaping the private healthcare space in India. He is the Chairperson of Health Services Committee of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Board member of Indo British Partnership Network (IBPN), Board Member of National Accreditation Board for Hospital and Healthcare Providers (NABH) and chair of the healthcare committee of UKTI (UK Trade & Investment). He is also on the National Board of Advisors of AIESEC, a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education.

Even though healthcare is a passion for Shivinder, his dream is to see a vibrant India in his lifetime. This motivates him to get involved in various activities directed towards bringing about positive social change in our country and engaging with different aspects of Building India. Shivinder is one of the trustees of an NGO ‘Joining Hands’.

In addition to this, Shivinder is also keenly involved in various CSR initiatives focused on the Girl Child, HIV education, providing quality healthcare to Rural India to name a few.

Shivinder is on the board of visitors of Fuqua School of Business; Duke University, U.S. and a fellow of Aspens India Leadership Initiative. He is also a Director of Step by Step school.

Shivinder lives with his wife and four sons in New Delhi and likes sports like football and hockey, watching movies and building lasting relationships!

Mr. Daljit Singh
President - Strategy & Organizational 
 Development

Mr. Daljit Singh, aged 56, is the President -Strategy and Organizational Development of the Company.  He joined the Company in September 2002.  He is a gold medalist from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in chemical engineering. He was a Commonwealth Scholar at the Senior Management Program at the Manchester Business School in 1995. He has over six years of experience in the healthcare industry and over three decades of management experience. Mr. Singh was the Chief Executive Officer of the Company until November 30, 2006. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Singh was the Director in-charge of human relations, communications, external relations and safety, health and environment divisions of ICI India Limited for 28 years.

Mr. Bhavdeep Singh
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Bhavdeep Singh, aged 47, is the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. He joined the Company in February 2009. He attended Pace University and has completed several certified courses in leadership and retail management from institutions such as Cornell, University of Hartford, Dial Institute of Management, St. Joe’s University. He has 27 years of diverse experience with Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company in the United States, where he worked for over 20 years in many different roles including merchandising, marketing, operations, finance, supply chain and logistics, human resources, asset protection, productivity and other support functions. In 2006, he joined Spencer’s Retail Limited (RPG Group) in India as its Chief Executive – Operations and Food Merchandizing and subsequently joined Reliance Retail Limited as the Chief Executive of Reliance Fresh.

Dr. Narottam Puri
President - Medical Strategy and Quality

Dr. Narottam Puri, aged 61, is the President - Medical Strategy and Quality of the Company.  He joined the Company in December 2007.  He has over 40 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Dr. Puri is a Graduate and Post-Graduate in ENT from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons and holds a Post-Graduate Advanced Diploma in Health Administration apart from being a member of the American College of Physician Executives.  He started his career as a lecturer in ENT at the University of Delhi. He was also associated with Moolchand Hospital for nearly 20 years and thereafter went on to establish and head the ENT department at Sant Parmanand Hospital.  Prior to joining the Company, he held an assignment with Max Healthcare Limited as Executive Director - Medical Services and was involved in setting up the Max Institute of Medical Excellence for training medical staff, nursing and paramedical staff.  He has held other positions, including Executive Committee Member and Honorary Secretary of the Delhi Medical Association, President of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India (“AOI”) and Governing Body Member of the AOI.

Mr. Yogesh Sareen
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Yogesh Kumar Sareen, aged 44, is the Chief Financial Officer of the Company. He joined the Company in February 2008.  He is a chartered accountant by profession and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with Honors from the Punjab University. He has over 21 years of experience in the healthcare industry and over seven years of experience in management and finance functions. Prior to joining the Company, he was the Director - Business Finance of RLL, where he was responsible for financial planning and reporting of global business operations, corporate finance, performance management and providing decision-making support to the top management of RLL.
