| Fortis Hospital works to spread awareness |

IN a bid to spread awareness against AIDS on World AIDS Day today, Fortis Hospital, Mohali, today installed a condom vending machine in its In Patient Department (IPD) washroom. The condom vending machine will be available to all, and awareness of use of condom will be imparted to employees as well as patients' attendants in the IPD lobby.
A special educational session was organised at Vivek High School, for parents of the students and teachers of the school. The presentation was given by Dr Anita Sharma and Dr Gaurav Thukral, from Fortis. This followed by an interactive session between the doctors, parents and teachers.
In a four-day programme to reach out to various strata of the community, Fortis Hospital, Mohali, organised a series of activities to observe World AIDS Day. These include an educational session for students of MCM DAV College, role-play skits and basic presentation for attendants of patients in the IPD lobby, opening of an AIDS counselling centre in the hospital, a rural outreach camp to spread awareness of AIDS to the villagers of Sunetea in Banur and a musical evening.
