Naya Roop Nayi Zindagi is a reality series, which intends to resurrect the lives of distraught individuals, facing stigma, loneliness due to some physical features of their face or body. The new reality show that changed peoples ‘lives forever is starting May 1, every Thursday at 8.00 p.m. on Sony Entertainment Television.
Fortis La Femme and Sony TV has taken this initiative to give a true once in a life-time chance to a few individuals with flawed looks - people who were scarred or maimed, people with a prominent birthmark, a congenial cleft lip, victims of acid attack or explosions - a complete transformation, not just by changing their looks, but their lives and destinies too.
The ten-week reality show consists of 10 candidates who undergo facial correction surgeries - both reconstructive and cosmetic, dental and eye surgeries combined with fitness, diet and styling. Each story is not just about the skin deep transformation, but a completely new change in life. It is a journey equivalent to getting a new life. From styling to fitness and counseling to dream fulfillment. The show is designed for 10 weeks where in each episode ordinary people, through the medium of TV meet extraordinary experts who work with them to help them reach their full physical and emotional potential. The show also aims to inform viewers on the possibilities that exist in the field of medicine through cosmetic surgery.
Fact File: Each episode opens with the person and his/her case history and how the entire process will happen. After the surgery what follows is the recovery process which in some cases has been several months. The viewer in each episode will witness the agony & ecstasy of the participant and the final victory.
1st Episode: Ms. Richa 19-year old from Ghaziabad, who has a lot of pigmentation on her facial skin. Despite being a good singer and a dancer, the girl was ridiculed at every stage in life, and ultimately Dr. Ajaya Kashyap, the plastic surgeon from Fortis La Femme, decided to take on her case. According to Dr. Kashyap, this was one of the most difficult cases he had handled not only on the show but also in his career spanning 17 years.
