SPECIAL SEGMENTS

Over the years, the discipline of psychology has grown immensely, and today, multiple practical approaches to therapy are offered. Each approach has a distinct way of looking at and treating psychological issues. Thus, the segment on 'Looking Through the Clinical Lens' will provide a platform to look at a single clinical case through the spectacles of these multiple psychotherapeutic approaches, and bring to the forefront the diverse and unique perspectives that each has to offer. This discussion would be carried out by experts from the field of clinical psychology, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, expressive arts based therapy and psychiatry and would be moderated by Dr. Samir Parikh. Specialists representing the diverse perspectives would include
Dr. Kedar Tilwe (Psychiatrist / Moderator) | Dr. Puneet Dwevedi (Psychiatrist) | Ms. Urvashi Pawar (Psychodynamic Psychotherapist) | Ms. Tara Mehta (Clinical Psychologist) and Ms. Aditi Kaul (Expressive Art Therapist).

Films mirror the various shades of reality that exist in the society. And in the depths of these reflections, we find creatively encapsulated, the multiple underpinnings of psychology. In a bid to explore the layers of fantasy and extract the deeper meanings that lie within the images on the celluloid, we would be engaging in the analysis of an Indian film, exploring it by immersing it in the psychological principles that we have consumed through all our years exploring psychology. The film analysis would be conducted by
Ms. Mimansa Singh (Clinical Psychologist) | Dr. Vishal Chhabbra (Psychiatrist) and Ms. Rashi Kapoor (Psychodynamic Psychotherapist.
The session would be moderated by Dr. Samir Parikh.

The details of the film to be analyzed would be disclosed on the conference website on the 1st of August, 2017.

A session highlighting how Psychology can become an indispensable part of healthcare systems, the panel would reflect upon methodologies that can help create a road map to enhancing the integration of physical and mental health within the rubric of a medical system. Practitioners from the field of Psychiatry and Psychology would come together for a discourse on streamlining psychology within the mainstream healthcare setups. Esteemed Professor of Psychology, Dr. Aruna Broota along with Dr. Ritu Garg (Head – Clinical Talent Management, Medical Program Management & MOG) Dr. Anjana Rao Psychiatrist and Ms. Divya Jain, Counselling Psychologist would share their views on the same.
