The specialized team of doctors conduct advanced treatment for disorders of the liver, biliary tract, pancreas, and other GI diseases, by diagnostics & therapeutic upper & lower GI endoscopy & ERCP.
The department has two endoscopy suite to perform various diagnostic test & treatment like sclerotherapy, banding, stenting, polypectomy, papillotomy, CBD stone removal and so on.
Patients are evaluated by a team of physicians and surgeons in the department of gastrointestinal sciences.
The section of gastrointestinal surgery includes various surgical procedures e.g. bile duct reconstruction, liver resections, treatment of portal hypertension, pancreatic diseases (Whipple’s operation), inflammatory bowel disease, ileal pouch anal anastomosis and bariatric surgery. Advanced laparoscopic procedures done are for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux, diseases of biliary tract, spleen, esophagus, small intestine, appendix, colon, rectum and hernias.
With the most advanced intensive care practices and other supportive therapy we provide low morbidity and good survival (at par with most advanced centers of world) following the major gastrointestinal surgical procedures.
