Neurosciences- Neurology & Neurosurgery
The Department of Neurosciences at FEHJ would offer evaluation and care of patients with Stroke, Brain Haemmorrhage, Backache, Spinal disorders, Neuro Oncology, Epilepsy, Facial Pain and Headache etc in speciality clinics.
The department is backed by most advanced Neuro imaging for accurate diagnosis like 64 Slice CT Scan and treatment of most Neurological disorders, and Electrophysiological tests.
The advanced Neuro Sciences Services would provide round the clock treatment, with
- State-of-art dedicated Neurosurgery operation theatre with a high end Surgical Microscope.
- Complex surgical procedures for vascular malformations, base of skull, oncosurgery & spine will also be performed.
- Endo neuro surgery will form a special area of expertise available to the people.
The department also offers Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA), microsurgical procedures and stereotactic neurosurgery.
Just as in case of Cardiac Sciences, it is envisaged to develop a dedicated “Multi-Disciplinary Stroke Unit” along with Acute Heart Attack Centre to provide a highly advanced management of patients with stroke.
The multi-disciplinary team will comprise of Neurologists, Neuro Surgeons, Cardiologists, CTVS Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, Interventionists, ER Physicians besides nurses, technicians & support staff. |
