The Fire Training session was conducted by Mr. Devender Gill. Near about 50 staff from the hospital has participated in the program.
Mr.Gill presented a brief lecture on Fire incidents, cause of fire, preventive methods, tips to handle Fire crises, various types of Fire, new technology / methods to handle fire events.
Undersigned briefed about Hospital Fire Plan, how to activate Fire disaster and staff in concern responsibility during Fire crises, who all are authorized to call for Fire brigade and issue instruction for evacuation.
Mr.Jai Paul briefed about safety features available in hospital for Fire prevention and Fire Fighting.
Dr.Pandey ( ICU ) and Dr.Ali ( ER ) with the help of OT technicians and Nurses gave a demonstration on shifting critical ill patient during Fire crises from OT recovery to ICU then to Emergency through using Fire stair case, which was the finest part of Mock drill. A patient was moved along with life saving support system which was handled by Security and GDA staff along with the Doctors / Nurses / Technicians.
At the end Practical Fire Fighting was done at gate No.1, where live fire was made and with the help of portable extinguishers and Fire hoses fire was fought. It was carried out by the staff under the supervision of experts.
