Fortis Project SEWA : Mission Accomplished
It’s been a turbulent time trying to get life back on track in the flood affected regions of Uttarakhand and Fortis Project SEWA has been our effort in helping people recover from the calamity. We have now reached the end of our journey with rescue operations having met with success in evacuating most of those trapped in Badrinath, Joshimath, Rudraprayag and Gauchar.

Our operations moved in sync with the Army and the Air Force and we provided them critical medical support wherever required by making small Project SEWA teams / units to attend to medical needs in various affected areas, concurrently. Project SEWA team drew tremendous inspiration and strength from the hard work and dedication demonstrated by the Indian Army and Air Force, with whom they collaborated for medical relief work. Our Project SEWA team also encountered numerous obstacles in the shape of landslides, adverse weather, shortage of food & water along with harsh temperatures in certain areas.
The commitment and dedication shown by the Fortis Project SEWA team earned accolades and praise from the Chief of Army Staff, General Bikram Singh.

Our hearts go out to the people who have lost their loved ones in this tragedy and wish their souls rest in peace. We hope that our work in Uttarakhand has helped soften the blow of the natural calamity on the people affected by it.
However, our mission at Uttarakhand is not over and we believe that we can help in more ways in the coming weeks. We have been requested by the CII to be their medical partner for a Rehabilitation and Relief project they have planned for Uttarakhand. For further updates, keep visiting the blog
We would also like to thank everyone who have supported our relief efforts.
