Doctor’s Profile

Dr Divya Awasthi has joined Fortis Hospital, Mohali in Oct 2017. She has a rich experience in the field of OBG. She did her MBBS and MS (OBG) from esteemed Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU in 2003 and 2008. After that she did her senior residency in AIIMS, New Delhi, for three years during which time she gained vast experience in gynaecology laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and gynae-oncology under Dr Alka Kriplani, HOD, OBG AIIMS and FOGSI President 2016. Thereafter she joined Max Hospital, Mohali in 2011 where she developed the department of Advanced Gynae Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy and worked there till Sep 2017. Dr Divya has also worked in Tata Cancer Hospital, Mumbai, in Gynaecologic Oncology in 2013 which helped in improving her skills as a Gynaecologic Cancer Surgeon. During the year 2014, she was invited for a course in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) by EART-Cleveland Clinic (USA). Dr Divya also has a keen interest in managing challenging cases of High Risk Pregnancy and Infertility. Her approach towards the patients is very holistic which includes not just understanding the disease of the patient but also the feelings and emotional state of the patient and her family.
