About Dr. Girish V Badarkhe

Dr. Girish has completed his MBBS from Grant Medical College, Mumbai, post which he pursued MD Pathology from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai and DM Haematology in 2014 from Institute of Haematology & Transfusion Medicine, Medical College Kolkata. He has also undergone 3 years of extensive training in Pathology at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai. Dr Girish has been working with some of the top private hospitals in Bangalore and Nashik as a Senior Consultant in Haemato-oncologist and Bone Transplant Physician Current Position. He has also worked as a senior resident at Institute of Haeamtology and transfusion medicine, Kolkata for 2 years 10 months and as a resident doctor in Clinical Haematology at Institute of Haeamtology and transfusion medicine, Kolkata for 3 years.| Memberships: 1.   • Won First prize in “National Haematology Quiz at Haematcon -2010” 51st Annual Conference of Indian Society of Haematology & Transfusion Medicine organized by Calcutta Society of Haematology & Blood Transfusion at Kolkata West Bengal, India on 19th -21st November 2010. Dr Girish has been actively volunteering at several medical emergencies. He was a part of the emergency medical team that actively participated in the rescue operations during the serial bomb blasts that took place in Mumbai in 2006. Was involved in attending to blasts victims and giving them basic first aid. Also took part in the blood donation drive. Was part of the rescue team involved in the rescue operations during the historic floods in city of Mumbai in the year 2005. Involved control of epidemics by creating awareness among the general public about the various epidemics resulting from the floods mainly Leptospira, Malaria and Dengue. Also helped in Laboratory diagnosis of these diseases. Actively participated in and supervised a number of voluntary blood donation camps as a part of Sion Hospital Blood Bank team which involved motivation of donors, bleeding of donors and donor counseling
