About Dr. Ujwal Vitthal YeoleDr. Ujwal Yeole has gained a wealth of experience in Neurosurgery over the last five years. He began his Neurosurgery career as a senior resident in Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, in 2013, where he managed OPD, ward, and ICU for all neurosurgical cases and assisted senior surgeons in all neurooncological cases. He got selected in the ?National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences,? Bengaluru in 2015 for MCh Neurosurgery. NIMHANS is one of the most renowned and prestigious one-of-a-kind neurosciences institutes of national importance in India. He assisted and operated a variety of simple to complex neurosurgical cases. He continued honing his surgical skills at NIMHANS for another year as a chief resident. He briefly worked as an Associate Consultant in neurosurgery in PD Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai, in 2019. He completed a one-year training in Surgical Neuro-Oncology as a Clinical Fellow at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, in November 2020. His neuro-oncology passion was clear from the beginning as he even did his dissertation during the MCh program on ?Quality of life outcomes in malignant pediatric posterior fossa brain tumors?. He is surgically apt to perform all kinds of trauma & emergency, vascular, spinal, pediatric, neuro-endoscopy, and oncology after completing more than 1000 cases in the last five years. He supervised and guided more than 30 neurosurgery trainees at this time. He is a good clinician and a teacher and well equipped to oversee the surgical training of his junior colleagues. He is well-read, published, and has presented posters and papers in various forums nationally and internationally. He had delivered a lecture as an invited speaker in Walter Dandy meet Nepal in 2019. He was one of the three stipulated candidates amongst thousands of applicants globally for a prestigious Leksell Radiosurgery Fellowship for 2020 in UPMC, Pittsburgh, the USA by the Leksell Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Society.
