Dr. S.Dilip Chand Raja is an experienced spine specialist with a fervent interest in academics and research work. He is currently working as a Consultant - Spine Surgeon in Fortis Hospital, Vadapalani. After graduating from the prestigious Madras Medical College, he went on to complete Masters in Orthopedics from Calicut Medical College and also obtained a diploma from the National Board of Examination. He specialized in spine surgery through the nationally accredited fellowship program (FNB) and worked as a junior consultant at Ganga hospital for five years. He underwent special surgical training under Prof. Ulrich Noeth and Dr. Miguel Alquiza in Evangelisches Waldkrankenhaus Spandau, Stadtrandstraße 555, 13589 Berlin, Germany through the prestigious APSS-SICOT spine fellowship. Till now he has over 30 publications, 20 international and national awards, and has 69 presentations in various conferences to his credit. Having pursued all medical education purely by merit and scholarship, he loves to teach and guide young aspiring students in achieving their goals. However, providing the community with quality medical care and pain-free healthy life in a cost-effective manner is his primary task. He has performed more than 500 spine surgeries and specializes in deformity correction and minimally invasive spine surgery. He is also an expert trauma and joint replacement surgeon. Apart from surgical skills, his multilinguistic skills make him me an effective communicator and team player.
