E-ICU is a 24x7 monitoring system designed to remotely treat critically ill patients. Critinext, an E-ICU model is Asia's first teleicu which provides "Intensive Care beyond Boundaries". This is a fusion of Critical Care Skills, Technology, and innovation to address critical care staff shortage in the peripheries, to enable remote unit doctors to manage critically ill patients at site instead of transferring them to metros.
The first E-ICU was implemented in the year 2000 in U.S. & currently more than 200 hospitals have 41 E-ICU command centers & >20,500 beds are covered under E-ICU there (till 2010).
We embarked this Idea almost two years ago with the intent of providing high quality Critical Care to Tier 2 cities of India. Today at "Critinext" we manage 350 ICU beds in 10 different cities of India(Raipur, Dehradun, Agra, Amritsar, Raigarh, Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Delhi and NCR).
We use an intensive Electronic Medical Record, Audio Visuals & Smart Alert System as Rapid Response Tools and provide 24x7x365 monitoring, assessment, support and interventional services.
This also enables us to bridge the knowledge and educational gap by providing teaching and training to doctors, nurses and paramedical staff. It is a clinically proven programthat has resulted in delivering quality patient care with reduced the mortality & infection rates along with decrease in ALOS.
Our implementation team is a multi-disciplinary team comprised of a project manager, intensivists and technical professional who deliver a wide range of services throughout the planning & implementation process: e.g.
Our support team provides technical support for routine & urgent matters as well as ongoing technical support & services. Our support team provides technical support for routine & urgent matters as well as ongoing technical support & services.
Resident of a remote village in Dehradun district, Mr. A.B. Raut was critically ill and suffered from a serious heart attack. Since airlifting the patient to the hospital was really impossible for treatment during the crucial golden hour, our doctors decided to take the hospital to him instead. He was treated by our team of doctors in Delhi through an innovative technology called CritiNext, a 24x7 monitoring system designed to remotely treat critically ill patients from Delhi Command Centre. Since inception, Fortis Escorts Heart Institute has been at the forefront of innovation.
