He has done MBBS from University College of Medical Science, Delhi, and MD in Pulmonology from V P Chest Institute, New Delhi and FSM (Fellowship of Sleep Medicine) granted by Indian Sleep Disorder Association. Dr Saxena is trained in Lung transplantation from Vienna Austria. Dr. Saxena has special interests in Interventional Pulmonology, Lung Cancer, Tuberculosis, Respiratory Diseases, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine, Asthma, COPD, ILD, Allergic Disorders, Pleural Effusion, Resistant and life-threatening infectious diseases involving the lung, cases with acute and chronic respiratory failure and multisystem disorders affecting the lungs. He has conducted more than 1000 plus interventional procedures including bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy EBUS, TBLB, tracheal and bronchial stenting, pleurodesis, and bronchial thermoplasty.
