Query Management

You share your medical records with our local team stationed at the Information Centre, who further take opinion from the expert clinical team in India and get back to you with detailed treatment plan.  If desired, the team then organizes conference call between yourself and our clinical team consultant to ensure that you have well understood your treatment journey in India.

The treatment plan will include – tentative costing, your expected length of stay in hospital and in India, package inclusions/exclusions, etc.

Report Translations & Doctor Coordination

Our local team coordinates with clinical team in India for translation of reports and findings from your language to English or vice versa. They also coordinate with our doctors to translate clinical terms, lab results, and diagnoses to avoid any misinterpretation of the reports.

Online Consultations

We also connect you with doctors through digital platforms like Zoom, Teams or WhatsApp video calls to assist you in speaking to your doctor and have detailed discussion on symptoms, reports, treatment options, etc.

Post-treatment, we help you stay in touch with your treating doctor for continuity of care and follow-up through online consultations.

Visa Application & Processing Assistance

You will require a Visa Invitation Letter (VIL) issued by the hospital confirming that you and your attendant/caregiver are scheduled to come to Fortis hospital for medical treatment. It is required by embassies/consulates to support your medical visa application.

Once you have received treatment plan and you finalize to travel to Fortis Hospital in India, you will be provided above letter by our local team. You will be submitting the same and your medical records along with your visa application.

Legal Documentation Counselling (For Organ Transplant Cases)

This is done to ensure that all legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements are met before an organ transplant can proceed - particularly important in countries like India, where transplants are governed by strict laws.

Organ transplants involve - Donor-recipient matching, verification of relationship or altruism, approval from transplant authorization committees and strict legal and ethical oversight. Our local team educates patients and donors on the legal documents required and support with additional formalities like embassy attestation and consular letters.

Appointment Booking

Once you have scheduled your travel to India, you will need to inform our local team who will then assist you with booking appointment with the treating doctor as per your scheduled arrival in India. 

Travel & Logistics Arrangements

Our Information Centre team ensures a hassle-free experience so the you can focus on your treatment and recovery. The key travel & logistics services provided by them includes – travel planning support, guidance regarding flight bookings, departure and arrival schedules, issuance of VIL (visa invitation letter) for medical visa application, airport pick-up and drop arrangement, accommodation arrangement, language translation services, assistance in obtaining local sim and wi-fi access, local transportation.

Our team plays a vital role in coordinating and customizing your meal services to meet the your medical, cultural, and religious needs. Not only for patient, they also help with assistance on attendant food options. 

Continuity of Care 

After you return to your home country post-treatment, our IC team will offer you structured post-treatment care programs that will be well managed in coordination with International Patient Services department of the Fortis hospital where you received treatment.

You can book online consultations with the treating doctor post-discharge for progress monitoring, lab test result reviews and medication adjustments.
