Dr. Dinesh Kumar Mittal is a highly experienced Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon (CTVS) with expertise in adult cardiac surgery, paediatric cardiac surgery, congenital heart surgery, and aortic surgery. With a distinguished surgical career spanning thousands of successful procedures, he has performed over 5,000 adult and paediatric cardiac surgeries, delivering excellent outcomes in both routine and complex heart operations. Dr. Mittal specializes in Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), including beating-heart (off-pump) and on-pump bypass surgery, aortic valve replacement, mitral valve replacement, mitral valve repair, and surgery for congenital heart defects such as ASD closure, VSD closure, Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) correction, coarctation of aorta repair, Blalock-Taussig shunt, and other complex congenital cardiac surgeries. He also has extensive experience in permanent pacemaker implantation in children and peripheral vascular surgery. He played a pivotal role in establishing the Neonatal Cardiac Surgery Program at Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, and has been an active contributor in developing one of North India's most comprehensive Aortic Intervention Programmes. His expertise in aortic surgery includes Bentall procedure, valve-sparing aortic root replacement, ascending aortic replacement, hemiarch and total arch replacement, descending thoracic aortic replacement, thoracoabdominal aneurysm repair, and abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. He is equally proficient in endovascular aortic repair (EVAR/TEVAR) and open aortic surgery.
