Dr. Anil S. Bhoraskar

With over 46 years of clinical experience, Dr. Anil Bhoraskar is a Senior Consultant in Diabetology and Endocrinology at S.L. Raheja Hospital – A Fortis Associate, Mahim, Mumbai. He completed his MBBS and MD (Medicine) at Grant Medical College, Mumbai, and has held teaching appointments at Grant Medical College and the All India Institute of Diabetes. Dr. Bhoraskar is a Fellow of the College of Physicians of India, a Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London. His expertise includes managing diabetes in complex surgical scenarios, while he remains actively engaged in medical education and research through publications in national and international journals and presentations at scientific forums. He has served as Chair of the South East Asia Region of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), currently serves as Scientific Secretary of the Diabetic Association of India, is the Course Director for the IDF Centre of Education and Excellence in Mumbai, and is associated with advisory boards of various pharmaceutical companies. His professional interests also include diet and nutritional counselling and the integration of humour therapy in chronic disease management.
