Dr. Mohan A. Joshi

With over 36 years of clinical and academic experience, Dr. Mohan A. Joshi serves as a Senior Consultant in General and Laparoscopic Surgery. He previously held the position of Dean, Professor, and Head of Surgery at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College & General Hospital (Sion Hospital), Mumbai. His expertise spans general surgery, laparoscopic procedures, surgical gastroenterology, and Advanced Therapeutic Digestive Endoscopies, with an emphasis on structured, evidence-based surgical care. Dr. Joshi holds an MBBS degree, an MS in General Surgery from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, an FCPS from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Mumbai, is a Fellow of the Association of Surgeons of India, and a Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has a lot of research and innovations in Digestive Endoscopy. Associated with S.L. Raheja Hospital – A Fortis Associate, Mahim, Mumbai, he provides minimally invasive and advanced gastrointestinal surgical care, including the management of complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic conditions. He has also been recognized within the medical community for his long-standing service in surgery, teaching, institutional leadership, and for his role in developing and strengthening surgical services across public healthcare institutions.
