Dr. Parveen Rani, MBBS, MS (Ophthalmology) is an Associate Consultant in Ophthalmology at Fortis Hospital, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana. She brings a rich blend of clinical expertise and academic excellence in the field of ophthalmology. Dr. Parveen completed her MBBS from Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana, and pursued her MS in Ophthalmology from the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Government Medical College, Amritsar. Following her post-graduation, she served as a Senior Resident and also worked under the Punjab Civil Medical Services as a Specialist Ophthalmologist in the districts of Sangrur and Jagraon. She further honed her skills through an intensive three-year fellowship in Pediatric, Strabismus, and Neuro-Ophthalmology at the esteemed LV Prasad Eye Institute, Bhubaneswar. Dr. Parveen has independently performed over 400 adult cataract surgeries and 100 pediatric cataract surgeries, along with 70 complex strabismus procedures. She has also assisted in more than 300 specialized ophthalmic surgeries including optic nerve sheath fenestration and loop myopexy. Her research focuses on Retinopathy of Prematurity and outcomes of strabismus re-surgeries in tertiary care settings.
