In 2008 he was awarded Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) by the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India. In 2009 Dr. Sharma trained in Bariatric Metabolic Surgery under Dr. Philip Schauer at The Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA.He is the founder Surgeon of the Department of Minimal Access Surgery at the Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi.
