Dr Smita Vaid, Additional Director - Obstetrics & Gynaecology is the pioneer Doctor who started water-birthing (the Pro Normal Birthing Technique) in Rajasthan. Being a proponent of gentle birth principle, she introduced this natural and minimally painful method of childbirth. Further her expertise lies in managing recurrent pregnancy loss and High Risk Pregnancies such as Pregnancy with Hypertension, Diabetes, Sickle Cell Anemia, Acute Medical Illnesses, multiple pregnancies etc. Over the years, she has performed advanced Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic procedures procedures like Hysterectomy (removal of Uterus), Myomectomies (removal of Uterine Fibroids), Ovarian Cysts, Tubal Recanalization and fertility enhancing surgeries too. She is the first female robotic gynecological surgeon in Rajasthan, specializing in both simple and complex robot-assisted gynecological surgeries. She has 23 years of expertise to back her up and has also presented many medical research papers in national and international forums.
