Dr. Viplav V Shetty

Dr. Viplav Shetty is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interests in Arthroscopy, Sports Medicine, Joint Replacement and Complex Orthopaedic Trauma. He has a particular interest in the management of knee and shoulder sports and ligament injuries and degenerative joint conditions. He is trained in the surgical management of a wide range of orthopaedic conditions, with a focus on arthroscopic procedures, ligament reconstruction, sports injuries and joint replacement surgery. Work Experience Dr. Viplav Shetty began his medical career after completing his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, in 2008. He subsequently pursued postgraduate training in Orthopaedics, completing his Diploma in Orthopaedics from JJM Medical College, Davangere (2015–2017), followed by DNB in Orthopaedics from Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences, Thiruvananthapuram (2018–2020). Following his postgraduate training, he worked as a Senior Resident at Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences, Shivamogga, from 2020 to 2021. From 2022 to 2026, he served as an Assistant Professor at PES Institute of Medical Sciences, Andhra Pradesh, and K. S. Hegde Medical Academy, Deralakatte. He then pursued and successfully completed a Fellowship in Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty in Bengaluru. His academic experience has provided him with extensive exposure to clinical orthopaedics, trauma management, teaching and academic activities.
