Dr. Vivek Vij is one of India’s leading liver transplant surgeons and a pioneer in living donor liver transplantation. He is credited with developing and standardising donor safety protocols, achieving a 100% donor safety record since the inception of liver transplant programmes in the country. With experience of over 2,500 liver transplants and globally recognised outcomes, Dr. Vij is known for his expertise in adult and paediatric liver transplantation, complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeries, and advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures. He has also played a key role in establishing successful liver transplant programmes within the Fortis group.
