Dr. Akash Jain

Dr Akash Jain is a cardiologist specialising in complex coronary and structural heart interventions, with expertise in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), mitral and tricuspid interventions, left atrial appendage closure and chronic total occlusion (CTO) interventions. Certified in various balloon and self-expandable TAVI, TEER and LAAC devices, he has proctored cases across India. He has underwent extensive training in complex TAVI procedures like leaflet modification, TAVI in TAVI, TAVI in SAVR. He has undergone advanced 2 year training in complex coronaries and structural interventions at Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valladolid, Spain. He holds a Doctorate of Medicine (Cardiology) from the prestigious Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research,Bengaluru, and an MD in Internal Medicine from Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. His research include work on TAVI durability, new cloud-based software for structural imaging and many more published in topnotch cardiology journals like Eurointervention, Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, REC and his work has been accepted at leading international forums like EuroPCR Paris, TCT, USA and London Valves. He is coauthor in the landmark "Transcatheter Aortic Valve in mechanical valve replacement: a first in human study" published in European Heart Journal. Dr Jain has authored textbook "MCQs in Cardiology for MD and DM students" and contributed in various cardiology textbooks and coinvestigator in various trials.
