Dr. Amit Kumar is an experienced and dedicated Pulmonologist, currently serving as a Consultant in the Department of Pulmonology at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh. With over a decade of clinical experience in respiratory and critical care medicine, Dr. Kumar is known for his comprehensive approach to managing complex pulmonary conditions, sleep disorders, and critical care cases. He completed his MBBS from KMC Mangalore, Manipal University, followed by DNB in Respiratory Medicine from Rajan Babu Institute for Pulmonary Medicine & Tuberculosis (RBIPMT), Delhi, and WORKED AS DRNB in Critical Care Medicine AT Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad. Dr. Kumar is skilled in advanced procedures including endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), medical thoracoscopy, bronchoscopy in ICU, airway stenting, balloon bronchoplasty, endobronchial cautery, and the management of obstructive sleep apnea. He has played a key role in treating multidrug-resistant (MDR) and extensively drug-resistant (XDR) tuberculosis and has contributed to the training of DNB students in pulmonary medicine.
