Dr Arun K. Sharma has more than 7 years of experience in Advance Laparoscopy & GI Surgery. After doing MBBS from Jammu, he did his Master's degree (MS) from SKIMS, Kashmir. He then joined the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and did M.Ch in Minimal Access Surgery followed by Fellowship in Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery while spending more than 6 years at the AIIMS New Delhi. Other than routine General surgeries like Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy and surgeries for Hemorrhoids, Perianal Fistula and Pilonidal Sinus, he is well trained in performing advanced laparoendoscopic surgeries like Endoscopic Thyroid Surgery (Scarless Neck Surgery), Laparoscopic Hernia Repair (IPOM, TEP, TAPP, eTEP), Fundoplication, Hiatus Hernia Repair, Complex Hepatobiliary, GI and Breast Oncosurgery. He is a trained Metabolic & Bariatric Surgeon from AIIMS, New Delhi and has expertise in several Bariatric Procedures like Sleeve Gastrectomy, Intra Gastric Balloon, Gastric Bypass, Sleeve Plus & Revision Bariatric Surgery. Publications & Awards: He has more than a dozen publications in renowned international & national journals besides several book chapters to his credit. He has been awarded fully sponsored traveling IBC Oxford Fellowship to Taiwan for Advanced Bariatric Training. He won best paper awards in several national and international conferences including the best thesis presentation award for the year 2020-21 by IAGES.
