Dr. Arvind Kant Manipal is a Paediatrician and Neonatologist with experience in managing newborns and children, with a special focus on neonatal intensive care, premature and low birth weight babies, critically ill neonates and advanced neonatal respiratory care. He has trained extensively in neonatal intensive care and has experience across NICU, paediatric and emergency care settings.
He completed his MBBS from SN Medical College, Agra, followed by a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the same institution. He subsequently completed an NNF Fellowship in Neonatology at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, successfully completing the clinical fellowship training examination in 2021.
Dr. Manipal has worked at leading hospitals in Delhi, including Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, C. K. Birla Hospital, Cloudnine Hospital, Aakash Healthcare Super Speciality Hospital and Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital. His experience includes managing neonates and children in NICU and general paediatric settings.
His clinical expertise includes the care of extremely premature babies, ELBW and VLBW infants, neonatal respiratory disorders, neonatal sepsis, neonatal emergencies and post-surgical neonates. He is trained in conventional and advanced neonatal ventilation, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide therapy, therapeutic hypothermia and advanced surfactant administration techniques.
An academically inclined clinician, Dr. Manipal has contributed to research on neonatal morbidity and has authored a chapter on Respiratory Distress Syndrome Management in the Handbook of Neonatal Clinical Practices. He has also served as a course coordinator and trainer for the Basic Neonatal Resuscitation Programme.
