Dr Atul Limaye is an American-board certified Interventional Cardiologist, with special interests in optimal medical therapy, coronary and TAVI procedures. Currently, he leads the Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) Program at Fortis Hospital, Mulund, Mumbai. He is a national proctor for rotational atherectomy (Coronary Rotablation), a complex procedure with a steep learning curve. Before returning to India in 2016, he worked as a Consultant Cardiologist at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, USA, for six years. His clinical practice focuses on the treatment of patients with ischemic or coronary artery disease, heart failure, abnormal heartbeat or arrhythmia, rheumatic heart disease, and heart valve disorders.
Dr Limaye completed his fellowships in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Medicine, Non-Invasive Cardiology, and Nuclear Cardiology from world-renowned hospitals and medical universities in the US and the UK. He is a distinguished member of the Royal College of Physicians, London. He also has a notable interest in research and has published widely.
