With a career spanning more than three decades, Dr. Haresh Mehta serves as the Director of Interventional & Structural Cardiology at S.L. Raheja Hospital – A Fortis Associate, Mumbai. He has independently performed over 10,000 interventional procedures, including angiography and angioplasty, with the majority completed through the transradial route. A PROCTOR/TRAINER for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), he has trained for Medtronic and Meril Valve and also works as an Independent Operator for Edwards and Hydra Valves. Dr. Mehta performed Maharashtra’s first transcatheter double valve-in-valve replacement, the second such procedure in India, and implanted the first Impella (LV SUPPORT DEVICE) in a nonagenarian patient. His international training includes coronary and paediatric interventions in Bern, Switzerland; peripheral, carotid and renal interventions in New York; Rotational Atherectomy in London and Vienna; and TAVI and Structural Heart Disease training in Budapest. He is actively associated with several national and international cardiology societies and has presented papers in journals in India and abroad.
