Dr. Kaushal Kant Mishra is the Director of Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement at Fortis Escorts, Okhla Road, New Delhi. With over 26 years of extensive experience in Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Knee replacement and Trauma, he has established himself as a pioneer in his field. Dr. Mishra holds the distinction of being the first orthopedic surgeon to perform an "Uncemented Hip Replacement" in Tanzania. He also performed a hip replacement on the youngest female patient in Nigeria and has carried out the highest number of hip surgeries on patients aged between 70 and 107 years. Among his notable achievements, Dr. Mishra completed the fastest hip replacement surgery in just 18 minutes, a feat currently being considered for inclusion in the record books. He also performed a Hip Replacement (Hemiarthroplasty) with a remarkably small 2-inch skin incision on a 92-year-old male patient, setting a record for the world’s smallest incision. Dr. Mishra has made significant contributions to the establishment of the Bone and Tissue Bank at AIIMS Delhi. In 2006, he was nominated for the "Guinness Book of World Records" for performing a hip replacement on a 107-year-old patient.
