Dr. Nishit Sawal is a pioneer of Neuromodulation in North India. Having done his DM from AIIMS, he was first to start a DBS program for Parkinson?s in 2018 at GMCH-32 ahead of any other Govt/private Institute in North India. He also pioneered VNS for refractory epilepsy in 2019 at GMCH-32. He developed a photobiomodulation unit for Parkinson?s which won international acclaim and has devised two devices ( Patents filed - No-2696/DEL/2015, 2695/DEL/2015) for backward falls and autonomic dysfunction in atypical Parkinsons. Both these devices have been acclaimed as groundbreaking therapies. He recently devised a novel face mask against coronavirus.
He is one of the pioneers of CBD oil use in chronic pain and anxiety disorders.
