Dr. Pradeep Ramakrishnan is a highly accomplished Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon with over 12 years of experience and more than 5,000 successful surgeries to his credit. He is nationally recognized for managing some of the most complex cardiac and aortic cases. After completing his M.Ch. in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) from the country's premier institute, AIIMS, New Delhi, he went on to earn his DNB in CTVS and the prestigious FRCS (Cardiothoracic Surgery) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow. Subsequently, he served as a faculty member at AIIMS, New Delhi, for 10 years. He has extensive experience in off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), total arterial CABG, minimally invasive CABG (MICS CABG), valve repair and replacement, congenital heart disease correction, advanced aortic surgeries, and heart failure interventions. He is particularly experienced in complex thoracoabdominal aneurysm repair, the David procedure, and TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair). His expertise in minimally invasive cardiac surgery includes MICS CABG, MICS valve repair, MICS Bentall procedures, and endoscopic cardiac surgeries. He has also been actively involved in heart and lung transplantation and was part of the team that performed the first successful lung transplant at AIIMS, New Delhi. An accomplished academician and researcher, Dr. Ramakrishnan has authored more than 50 scientific publications and continues to contribute to the advancement of cardiothoracic surgery through research, teaching, and innovation. He has served as core faculty for the Aortic Surgery Training Fellowship Programme at AIIMS for several years.
