Dr. Rajeev Bhatia

Dr. Rajeev Kumar Bhatia is a highly experienced Nephrologist with expertise in the diagnosis and management of Kidney Diseases, Dialysis therapies, Renal Transplantation and Critical Care Nephrology. As Director of the Department of Nephrology at Fortis Hospital, Jalandhar, he is dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based kidney care with a strong focus on patient outcomes and quality of life. After completing his MBBS, DCH and MD in Internal Medicine from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, Dr. Bhatia pursued his DNB in Nephrology from the prestigious Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre (IKDRC), Ahmedabad. He subsequently underwent advanced training at SGPGI, Lucknow, one of India's leading tertiary care institutions. His areas of expertise include Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Acute Kidney Injury, Diabetic Kidney Disease, Resistant Hypertension, Glomerular Diseases, Renal Transplantation, Hemodialysis, Hemodiafiltration (HDF), Peritoneal Dialysis and Critical Care Nephrology. He has a special interest in advanced Dialysis technologies and post-transplant patient care. Dr. Bhatia is an active member of the Indian Society of Nephrology, International Society of Nephrology, Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, and Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine. He has contributed extensively to nephrology research with multiple national and international publications and presentations, including studies on hemodialysis outcomes, quality of life in dialysis patients, COVID-19-related kidney care, and emerging therapies for anemia in chronic kidney disease. A committed academician, Dr. Bhatia also serves as teaching faculty for the DrNB Nephrology Program, mentoring the next generation of Nephrologists while continuing to advance excellence in kidney care.
