Dr. Shubha Sharma is the Director & Senior Consultant in the Department of Anaesthesia & Critical Care at Fortis Hospital Jalandhar, with over 40 years of experience in Anaesthesia and Critical Care. She is known for delivering safe, compassionate and evidence-based care to patients undergoing complex surgical procedures and requiring advanced intensive care.
Dr. Sharma completed her MBBS and Diploma in Anaesthesia (DA) from Grant Medical College, Mumbai, followed by DNB in Anaesthesiology, PGDHHM, and the Indian Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine (IFCCM). She has served at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi; ESI Hospital, Basaidarapur; Shriram Cardiac Centre, Jalandhar; Shrimann Superspeciality Hospital Jalandhar; and now Fortis Hospital Jalandhar.
Her expertise includes Cardiac Anaesthesia, Critical Care Medicine, High-Risk Anaesthesia, and Intensive Care Management. She has extensive experience in managing critically ill patients and is a pioneer in the region for management and optimization of cadaveric (deceased) organ donors in the ICU, facilitating successful organ donation and transplantation through advanced critical care protocols.
She has served as President of ISCCM, Jalandhar Chapter and President of ISA, Jalandhar Chapter. She is a Faculty Member for the IDCCM and IDCCN courses conducted by the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) and has been instrumental in conducting AHA-certified ACLS programmes. She has a special interest in imparting skill-based, hands-on training to critical care teams, helping build competency in advanced critical care practices.
