Speaking on the importance of early detection, Dr. Rahul Singhal, Additional Director – Cardiology & Electrophysiology, Fortis Hospital Jaipur said: “Heart ailment remains one of the leading causes of deaths in India, yet they are also one of the most preventable one. What is particularly concerning today is the rising number of younger patients. We are increasingly observing a worrying rise in the number of younger patients coming in nowadays with issues like hypertension, diabetes and even heart attacks. Much of this can largely be attributed to today’s fast paced yet sedentary lifestyles, with long working hours, poor diet, stress, coupled with lack of routinely health checkups. The early warning signs like fatigue, chest discomfort, or breathlessness are often overlooked until the condition worsens. Simple routine screenings such as ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, EP Study can help identify risks before they develop into heart attacks or heart failure. Timely medical intervention not only saves lives but also significantly improves quality of life for patients. Prevention and early detection are the strongest tools we have against heart disease.”
Highlighting the importance of breast imaging, Dr. Suman Singhal, Director & Head – Radiology & Cardiac Imaging, Fortis Hospital Jaipur, added: “Breast cancer is among the most common cancers detected in women today, but its outcomes are very closely tied to how early it is detected. Breast imaging, whether through mammography, ultrasound, or an advanced MRI scan allow us to detect abnormalities at a very early stage, when treatment is simpler, less invasive, and far more effective. Unfortunately, a lot of women still delay
screening due to fear, lack of awareness, and even misconceptions. Regular breast imaging is not only about detection, it is also about reassurance and confidence, giving women control over their health. By adopting a proactive approach towards screening, we can save countless lives and give women the best possible chance of a recovery.”
