Fortis Healthcare Partners with DMRC to Launch NCR-Wide Anti-Tobacco Campaign on World No Tobacco Day
– Public Awareness Drive Across 10 High-Footfall Metro Stations in Delhi-NCR –
Delhi-NCR, May 31 2025: To mark World No Tobacco Day, observed globally on May 31, Fortis Healthcare has joined hands with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to roll out a high-impact public health campaign across 10 of the busiest metro stations in the Delhi-NCR region. The initiative seeks to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco consumption and inspire commuters to make informed, life-affirming choices.
Under the theme “Say No to Tobacco, Say Yes to Life”, Fortis is transforming public metro spaces into hubs of awareness and engagement. Each activation includes large-format visuals, informative standees, placards, and on-ground teams interacting with commuters, making every day journeys a platform for healthier living.
The campaign is being launched across 10 key metro stations, each linked with a Fortis facility to drive localised impact:
At each of these locations, Fortis has deployed visually compelling backdrops, campaign-branded T-shirts for staff, interactive placards, and information booths. Commuters will also receive health check-up coupons and a QR-coded ticket that leads to a digital hub, offering:
• Verified facts about the risks of tobacco use
• Expert tips on quitting
• Access to professional support and helplines
Dr. Ritu Garg, Chief Growth Officer, Fortis Healthcare, commented: “At Fortis, we believe prevention begins with awareness. By partnering with DMRC, we are taking this message straight to the heart of urban India-its commuters. Tobacco use continues to be a silent killer, and this initiative is our way of urging people to pause, reflect, and choose life over addiction. We hope this campaign will help families start important conversations and encourage individuals to seek help where needed.”
Despite regulatory bans, e-cigarettes and tobacco products remain widely accessible across informal channels. This campaign aims to counter that threat with education, visibility, and access to cessation support, especially for young and impressionable populations.
As one of India’s leading integrated healthcare providers, Fortis Healthcare remains committed to public health, disease prevention, and responsible community outreach.
