Kolkata, June 5, 2025: On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, Fortis Hospital, Anandapur unveiled a "Triple Green Initiative" comprising a rooftop solar power system, an organic waste composter, and a Lumina Garden Box. These eco-conscious additions blend sustainability with healthcare excellence, aiming to reduce the hospital’s environmental footprint. The initiative was formally inaugurated by Ms. Richa S Debgupta, Chief Strategy and Operations, Fortis Healthcare.
Each of these installations will play a vital role in supporting the hospital’s green agenda -generating clean energy, reducing plastic and bio-waste, and enhancing green cover within the premises.
Celebrated under the global theme “Ending Global Plastic Pollution,” the event reaffirmed Fortis Anandpur’s commitment to environmental responsibility and public health. Doctors, staff, and patients gathered to celebrate the unveiling and to reinforce the hospital’s mission of creating a healthier and more sustainable future.
