Bengaluru, August 19, 2025: Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru, today organized the Zonal Finals of the 8th edition of its National Psychology quiz programme ‘PSYCH-ED, 2025’ and battled other schools in the zone to enter the National finals.
Psych-ED, the National level annual psychology quiz for school students organized by Fortis Healthcare, saw the participation of more than 900+ schools in its 8th edition held earlier today. As the online round of Psych-ED went live, more than 12000 participants from over 190+ cities across India participated in the quiz simultaneously. The quiz is designed for students from Class XI & XII, aiming to test their knowledge of Psychology and its concepts. PsychED 2025 was supported by GD Goenka University, Project CACA, Rupa publications and Adayu, a Fortis group company. Over the years, Psych-ED has grown into a flagship national-level event, engaging schools from urban metros, small towns and overseas creating an inclusive platform for learning and discussion.
The quiz was conceptualized and executed under the aegis of Dr Samir Parikh, Chairperson – Fortis National Mental Health Program, Fortis Healthcare Limited. The objective of the quiz is to impart learning while ensuring that the discipline remains engaging and fun for the students.
Speaking on this unique initiative, Dr Samir Parikh, said, "Our initiative is driven by a larger purpose — to promote awareness, reduce stigma around mental health and inspire curiosity about psychology among school students. The quiz serves as an engaging and enjoyable way to learn, blending education with fun. The schools that qualified for the Zonal Finals were:
Winning team from Deens Academy comprising of 3 students namely Yashvi Kariwala, Daksh Dileep and Anjali Abhishek said, “We are so excited to be going to Delhi! We’d like to thank our teacher mentor, Ms. Rubba Mubarak the most - we were quite nervous, but she believed in us and helped us prepare. Let’s get PSYCH-ED!”
