Fortis Hospital Gurugram Launches ‘Fit Gurugram’, a Citywide Movement for Fitness, Wellness and Preventive Health
-Fitness icon and endurance athlete Milind Soman joins the campaign as Bran Ambassador
Gurugram, August 21, 2026: Fortis Hospital Gurugram today announced the launch of Fit Gurugram,
a first-of-its-kind citywide health and wellness movement aimed at fostering a sustained culture of
active living and preventive healthcare across the Millennium City. The launch featured the unveiling
of the Fit Gurugram campaign logo and official jersey, along with the premiere of its introductory
teaser.
Going beyond a one-time fitness event, Fit Gurugram has been conceptualised as a sustained community platform. It will bring together collaborations with sports and fitness influencers, community yoga sessions, HYROX-inspired functional fitness challenges, cycling rallies, corporate wellness initiatives, mental health sessions, cleanliness drives and preventive health screenings.
In a fast-paced corporate hub such as Gurugram, long working hours, sedentary lifestyles and commute-related stress often push personal health into the background. Through a series of community-focused activities, Fit Gurugram seeks to inspire residents to make physical activity, mental well-being and preventive healthcare part of their everyday lives.
The movement will culminate in its flagship event, the Fit Gurugram Marathon, featuring campaign
Brand Ambassador Milind Soman, on October 4, 2026, at Cyber Hub, Gurugram. Registrations for the
marathon will open on August 22, 2026, and participants can register at:

Through a specially recorded video message, Milind Soman, Brand Ambassador for Fit Gurugram,
officially launched the initiative and unveiled the campaign jersey. Speaking about his association with
the movement, he said, “Fitness is not defined by age, profession, or athletic ability, it begins with the
decision to move and make health a daily priority. Fit Gurugram has the potential to bring an entire
city together around this simple yet powerful idea. I am delighted to be associated with the movement
and hope it inspires more Gurugram residents to take their first step, remain consistent and discover
the joy of leading healthier, more active lives.”
Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Managing Director & CEO, Fortis Healthcare, said, “India’s healthcare
landscape is undergoing a significant transition, with the growing burden of non-communicable and
lifestyle-related diseases making prevention a national priority. As a responsible healthcare provider,
our role must extend beyond treating illness to helping people remain healthy and reducing the need
for hospitalisation. Gurugram’s rapidly evolving urban lifestyle highlights the need for such a proactive
approach. Through Fit Gurugram, we aim to shift the healthcare narrative from reactive treatment to
everyday preventive wellness by promoting physical activity, early health awareness, and healthier
lifestyle choices. We hope this community-led movement contributes to a healthier and more resilient
Gurugram while serving as a meaningful model for preventive healthcare across India.”
Mr Anil Vinayak, Group Chief Operating Officer, Fortis Healthcare, said, “Fit Gurugram is designed to
encourage a proactive approach to health -one that promotes physical activity, informed choices, early
awareness, and healthier everyday habits. By creating meaningful opportunities for people to engage
with fitness and preventive health, we hope to make wellness a continuous journey rather than an
occasional priority. This initiative brings the community together around a shared purpose: building a
healthier, fitter and more health-conscious Gurugram.”
Mr Yash Rawat, Senior Vice President and SBU Head, Fortis Hospital Gurugram, said, “Fit Gurugram
is our commitment to taking healthcare beyond the walls of the hospital and embedding fitness and
preventive health into the everyday life of the city. This is not a one-time campaign, but a sustained
movement designed to engage families, schools, corporates and fitness communities throughout the
year. By making opportunities for physical activity and health awareness accessible, inclusive and
participative, we aim to mobilise Gurugram towards a shared goal, becoming one of India’s healthiest
and most active cities.”
