Jalandhar, July 24, 2026: Fortis Hospital Jalandhar, one of North India’s leading multi-super speciality healthcare institutions today celebrated the successful completion of one year since becoming part of the Fortis Healthcare network, marking a significant milestone in its journey of strengthening healthcare delivery across Jalandhar and neighbouring regions. Over the past year, the 300-bed multi-specialty hospital has made substantial investments in clinical infrastructure, advanced medical technologies and specialised treatment programmes, while remaining committed to providing world-class healthcare without increasing treatment costs for patients. 

Accredited by NABH, NABL and Nursing Excellence, Fortis Hospital Jalandhar has further strengthened its position as one of the region's leading healthcare institutions, with more than 30 specialties and Centres of Excellence in Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Surgery, Oncology, Gastroenterology and Orthopaedics. 

As part of its transformation journey, the hospital expanded its infrastructure by adding eight dialysis beds, increasing ICU capacity by 19 beds to establish the largest intensive care facility in Jalandhar, and introducing 18 additional patient rooms to enhance patient comfort and experience. 

Fortis Hospital Jalandhar also invested in several advanced technologies, including the SSI Mantra Robotic Surgical System, VELYS Robotic-Assisted Knee Replacement System, advanced endoscopy suite, upgraded echocardiography and ultrasound systems, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) machines, advanced CT imaging, upgraded Cath Lab and modern modular operation theatres, enabling clinicians to deliver more precise and minimally invasive treatments across multiple specialties. 

These investments have translated into several important clinical milestones over the past year. Fortis Hospital Jalandhar successfully conducted Punjab's first lung retrieval, strengthened its ECMO programme that helped save two critically ill patients, expanded its stroke programme through Mechanical Thrombectomy, enhanced advanced cardiac electrophysiology services including EP Studies and Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), and widened the scope of robotic-assisted surgeries across Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Gynaecology and Oncology.
