Fortis Hospital Noida Unveils Dedicated ‘AeroClinic’ for Advanced Asthma and Pulmonary Care

Noida, 07th January 2026: In view of the rapidly deteriorating air quality leading to constant upsurge in
Pulmonary related ailments, Fortis Hospital Noida has launched an AeroClinic - a Dedicated specialty clinic focused on the advanced, evidence-based management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The clinic has been launched to address long-standing gaps in accurate diagnosis, treatment optimization and long-term disease control for patients living with chronic respiratory
disorders.

COPD and asthma have emerged as significant public health concern in Delhi/NCR, largely driven by
persistently poor air quality. High levels of air pollution, especially fine particulate matter, irritate the
airways and lungs, triggering asthma attacks and worsening COPD symptoms. Hospitals across the region are reporting a steady rise in patients with breathlessness, chronic cough, wheezing, and chest tightness, affecting not only those with existing respiratory conditions but also individuals with no prior history of lung disease. Infants, children alongwith the elderly are particularly vulnerable, and repeated exposure
over time increases the risk of disease progression, frequent flare-ups, and reduced quality of life.

Dr Rahul Sharma, Additional Director, Pulmonology, Fortis Hospital Noida said, “AeroClinic has been
conceptualised to deliver comprehensive evaluation and individualised care through accurate diagnosis,
and evidence-based treatment. The clinic focuses on optimising inhaled therapies, identifying patients who may benefit from advanced treatments such as biologics, improving inhaler technique and adherence, and reducing unnecessary steroid exposure through proactive disease control and close follow-up.”
Mohit Singh, Zonal Director, Fortis Hospital Noida said, “With the launch of AeroClinic, Fortis Hospital
Noida strengthens its commitment to providing cutting-edge, patient-centric respiratory care. The initiative aims to move beyond episodic symptom management and towards sustained disease control, improved long-term outcomes and a better quality of life for patients with asthma and COPD."
