In the first case, a 50-year-old woman was brought to Fortis Hospital, Jalandhar following a fall from a height, complaining of severe neck pain and weakness in both her hands and legs. Tests revealed a rare and unstable fracture involving both the front and back portions of the cervical spine — a potentially life-threatening condition. The patient underwent advanced upper cervical spine stabilization surgery, owing to precise surgical planning and timely management, she made a complete neurological recovery and regained full strength in the postoperative period. 

In another emergency case, a 30-year-old male presented with weakness in both lower limbs along with urinary incontinence after a fall. MRI scans confirmed a severe lumbar spine injury leading to cauda equina syndrome — a serious condition that can result in permanent paralysis if not treated urgently. 

Dr. Sandeep Kumar Kundal and his team performed a minimally invasive spine stabilization surgery with nerve decompression, leading to significant neurological improvement. The patient regained motor function post-surgery and is recovering well.
