Fortis Hospital, Gurugram Conducts AV Fistula Care Workshop

Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, under the leadership of Dr. Himanshu Verma, Director of the Vascular Surgery Department, successfully conducted the 6th AV Fistula Care Workshop on December 21, 2024. Dialysis patients were trained to monitor their AV fistulas using stethoscopes, learning to identify continuous, interrupted, or absent sounds. Dr. Trisha Sachan Mishra, a Renal Nutritionist (PhD), provided valuable guidance on renal-friendly diets. Additionally, patients practiced simple exercises to enhance blood flow, promoting better vascular health.
