Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj Strengthens Collaboration with JNU to Advance Preventive Healthcare and Community Wellness Initiatives
New Delhi, June 25, 2026: Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj hosted a strategic meeting and lunch interaction with senior representatives from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) to strengthen collaboration on preventive healthcare and community outreach initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Neeraj Choudhary and Dr. Hariom from Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, along with Prof. Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, Vice Chancellor, JNU, Dr. Fauziya, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), and Dr. Bhathi from JNU.
The primary agenda focused on planning monthly multi-specialty Outpatient Department (OPD) clinics at JNU to improve access to expert medical consultations for the university community. Discussions also centred on finalising preparations for the upcoming HPV Vaccination Awareness Marathon, scheduled to be held later this month. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination in preventing cervical and other HPV-related cancers while promoting preventive healthcare among students, faculty, and staff.
The interaction reaffirmed the shared commitment of Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj and JNU towards advancing health awareness, preventive screening, and community wellness through collaborative healthcare programmes. The partnership is expected to bring regular specialist healthcare services, educational initiatives, and public health campaigns closer to the university community.
