Organ Donation Day - Celebrating the Gift of Life

Some journeys begin with a moment of uncertainty. Others begin with a selfless decision that gives someone a second chance at life.

On the occasion of Organ Donation Day, Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh organised a meaningful Patient Support Group Meet, bringing together organ donors, recipients, patients’ families and dialysis patients. The gathering provided a platform to share inspiring stories, build awareness and celebrate the transformative spirit of organ donation.

The session highlighted the importance of organ donation, its life-changing impact and the guidelines for taking the organ donation pledge. It reinforced the message that one decision to donate can become someone else’s chance to live, heal and hope again.

The event was led by Dr. Deepak Kalra, Senior Director & HOD – Nephrology, with the valuable support and presence of Dr. Sonal Gupta, Principal Director & HOD – Neurosurgery; Dr. Archana Bajaj, Medical Director; and Dr. Shashank Bhardwaj, Consultant – Nephrologist.

Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh also extended heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Deepa Jaswani and the entire team for their continued support, along with a special felicitation to the Organ Donation Team for their outstanding efforts in making the gift of life possible.
