About Dr. Kaushik Bhojani

Dr Kaushik S Bhojani is a Consultant Rheumatologist at and head Rheumatology Services at Fortis Hospitals, Mumbai Cluster. A doctor with excellent public speaking skills, he brings to the position more than 18 years of experience in clinical care and research. He has expertise in the treatment and management of all types of rheumatic diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Spondyloarthritis (such as Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic Arthritis etc), Gout, as well as Auto-Immune diseases such as SLE(Lupus), Scleroderma, Myositis etc. He completed his MBBS from M.P. Shah Medical College in 1994, and DNB from PD Hinduja National Hospital, Mumbai, in 2001. He then completed his Rheumatology Fellowship from P.D. Hinduja National Hospital, Mumbai, in 2004, where he trained under Professor V.R. Joshi, one of the senior most Rheumatologists in India. In November 2005, he joined the erstwhile Wockhardt Hospitals, Mulund, as a full-time Consultant Rheumatologist, where he led a busy practice and was also involved in clinical research as well as teaching Internal Medicine to resident doctors. He then continued his association with Fortis Hospital, Mulund, as Consultant Rheumatologist for about eight years, from 2010-2018. In May 2011, Dr Bhojani teamed up with his Pathologist wife Dr Neelu Bhojani and his friend and colleague Rheumatologist, Dr Shubhada Kalke to launch “Kennisha Rheumatology Care and Diagnostics”, an exclusive center dedicated towards treating and improving the lives of patients with rheumatic diseases. Apart from treating rheumatic diseases, he has a special interest in the rehabilitation of patients with disabilities due to long-standing arthritis. He is currently involved in clinical research and in training post-graduates in medicine in the field of Rheumatology in India. An MUHS Rheumatology Fellowship Teacher at Zen Multi Specialty Hospital, Chembur, Mumbai, Dr Bhojani has been a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, since 2008. He has to his credit 17 research papers published in national and international journals. He has also attended and given oral and poster paper presentations at various national and international conferences.
