Dr. Bimlesh Thakur is a renowned Surgical Oncologist with over 10 years of experience in the management of complex cancers. He has trained at premier national and international institutions, including Maulana Azad Medical College, Lady Hardinge Medical College, and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, where he was awarded the Gold Medal in M.Ch. Surgical Oncology. He also received advanced Robotic Surgery training at IRCAD, France, and holds the prestigious ESMO (Europe) Certification in Oncology. Dr. Thakur specializes in complex open, advanced laparoscopic, and robotic cancer surgeries. His expertise includes head & neck and oral cancers, breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers (esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, colon and rectum), thoracic cancers (lung, mediastinal and chest wall tumors), gynecological cancers, genitourinary cancers, skin cancers, soft tissue and bone sarcomas. Prior to joining his current role, he served as Senior Consultant in Surgical Oncology & Robotic Surgery at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Medanta Moolchand Hospital, New Delhi. He is an active member of leading national and international surgical and oncology societies, including IASO, SSO, ACS, ASI, FHNO, ASCO, ESMO, IAGES and ISFGS. Dr. Thakur is an accomplished teacher, researcher and expert trainer in minimally invasive and robotic cancer surgery. He holds the distinction of performing the world's first fully robotic Whipple's surgery on the Hugo邃｢ RAS robotic platform and presented this landmark experience at SAGES 2025, California, USA.
