Dr. (Brig) Pankaj Puri is the Director of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Fortis Escorts, Okhla, New Delhi. An alumnus of the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, Dr. Puri completed his MD in Medicine from Pune University and his DM in Gastroenterology from PGIMER, Chandigarh. He further advanced his expertise with a fellowship in Liver Transplantation at Kings College Hospital, London, UK. Previously, Dr. Puri served as the Head of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatobiliary Sciences at the Army Hospital (Research and Referral), New Delhi, where he played a key role in establishing a successful liver transplantation program. He has also held academic positions as a Professor of Medicine at Delhi University and as the Professor and Head of Internal Medicine at the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune. Dr. Puri is an active member of the Governing Council of the Indian National Association for the Study of Liver and has authored over 80 publications. With over two decades of experience in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, his areas of expertise include the treatment of hepatitis B and C, chronic liver disease, liver transplantation, and advanced endoscopic procedures. He is highly skilled in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and liver transplantation.
