Dr. Rolly Malhotra is a Senior Consultant at the Critical Care Unit of Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj. She possesses more than 21yrs of experience in this field. A postgraduate in Anaesthesia, Dr Rolly is an alumnus of P D Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai where she accomplished FNB Critical Care. She is also a recipient of EDICM (European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine) Brussels. A Certified American Heart Association ACLS and BLS instructor, Dr. Rolly has a keen interest in raising awareness in society about medical emergencies and has been training doctors and paramedics across the country for more than 13 yrs. She has previously worked with various renowned hospitals across India and brings with her a rich experience of handling critically ill patients. She also carries with her experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and tele ICU and has managed critically ill patients through AI platforms at remote locations in India. She is well versed in all kinds of ICU procedures like invasive lines and hemodynamic monitoring, USG-guided thoracocentesis, percutaneous Tracheostomies, etc. She is involved in decision-making and planning in respect of care of 65 bedded ICU at Fortis Hospital. Her special areas of interest are Infection control practices, policy-making, antibiotic stewardship programmes, and the use of Point care ultrasound for patient management. Dr Rolly has keen interest in academics and has co-authored many articles. She is actively involved in the training and academic activities of junior doctors and nurses and conducts regular training sessions and CMEs.
