Showcasing Excellence in Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Improvement
Dr. Dheeraj P. Arya, Medical Superintendent, Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, represented the Fortis at the ISQua International Conference 2026, held in Dublin, Ireland, from September 27–30, 2026, where he presented a quality improvement study titled “Impact of Increased Rapid Response Team (RRT) Activations on Reduction in Code Blue Events: A Retrospective Comparative Quality Improvement Study (2024–2026).”
The study highlighted the impact of early recognition of clinical deterioration and timely activation of the Rapid Response Team (RRT) in reducing Code Blue events and strengthening patient safety outcomes. Based on hospital data, the study demonstrated that increased RRT activations were associated with a reduction in Code Blue events, reinforcing the importance of proactive clinical intervention and effective escalation protocols.

The study received appreciation from the international academic audience, recognizing the role of real-world initiatives in strengthening healthcare systems and advancing the quality of patient care.
